Morning glory syndrome or rising sun is rare congenital anomaly of the papilla by emergence of the optic nerve in the eye. It is sometimes associated with serious anomalies of the central nervous system. It reaches preferentially girls and most often unilateral. The circumstances of the discovery may be strabismus, amblyopia, nystagmus, leucocoria or refractive disorder. This syndrome may also be associated with abnormalities of the central nervous system, endocrine, renal, respiratory, or charge syndrome. We report the case of a 12-year-old teenager who was brought into consultation by his parents for a visual acuity loss to the left eye since birth which was objectified by a luminous perception. The visual function was preserved to the right eye. There was an image of the rising sun around the papilla enlarging to ophthalmoscopy with wheelradius vessels and a pigmented halo within an atrophic territory to the left eye.
